The Hurteau project is a perfect example of Seragos' ability to manage complex real estate operations, combining heritage renovation and new construction on the same site.

Acquired in September 2020, the site comprises two contiguous lots: one occupied by an aging duplex, the other entirely vacant. The chosen approach was twofold: to undertake a complete renovation of the existing building, while erecting a new duplex on the adjacent lot, to optimize the site's residential use.

Both buildings were treated with the same architectural rigor, ensuring visual consistency between old and new. The masonry of the new duplex takes up the volumes and lines of the urban fabric, while integrating contemporary elements such as enlarged openings, meticulous finishing and an interior configuration designed for modern comfort.

In less than 6 months, this project of over 7,000 sq. ft. enabled the complete requalification of a street segment while preserving the spirit of the neighborhood.
