The Émard project is a perfect example of Seragos' approach to heritage renovation. Located in Montreal's historic Côte-Saint-Paul district, this veteran's house was one of the borough's significant buildings. Abandoned for several years, it required a complete overhaul of both the shell and the interior.

The team carried out a total strip-down of the structure, correcting the damage, completely redesigning the interior layout and optimizing the volumes. The exterior was completely redesigned, with a new concrete block cladding enhanced by the addition of stamped concrete surfaces, giving the house a sober yet assertive presence, anchored in its time.

The interior was transformed with noble materials and a marked concern for natural light and functionality, while respecting the original proportions.

With its nearly 3,000 sq. ft. of floor space, this four-month project brought a derelict house back to life as a figurehead on its street - a perfect example of respectful, contemporary intervention.
